Very nice Canal View Room
much space nice treat
The room was perfect for us! It had so much space, including a little kitchen with a fridge and microwave. The bathroom even featured a bathtub. I don't have one at home, so this was a nice unexpected treat.
I found the room to be a bit dated. The beds weren't the MOST comfortable, which affected my sleep quality a little.

The hotel is excellently located on one of the main canals. I found it very quiet at night. The location allowed walkable access to everything, a huge plus for exploring the area.

Breakfast was GREAT!!! There was an excellent and varied selection, more than enough to set me up for a day of walking.

Luggage storage was available. This was very helpful as it allowed me to explore without bags. The lift, where you could see the floors through a tiny round window, was quite neat.

The front desk staff were super friendly. I saw them go above and beyond to accommodate guest needs, from directions to advice on what to do.

The room had two windows. These opened all the way unlike most in the UK. I found that the view out those windows that night was one of the most beautiful i've ever seen. There were also loads of towels supplied.

lovely canal view stay!
canal view convenient location
i enjoyed the view of the canal right from my window. the location was so convenient, and i easily walked to many main attractions. staff was friendly. they helped me with my bags on arrival and were always smiling.
the safe in my room did not work . it was not operational, and i missed secure storage for my important documents. i hope they fix this soon.

breakfast had a good variety of items. i was able to make my own omelet. they had an espresso machine , made cappuccinos too. it was a nice way to start the day.

the gentleman at reception were really helpful. he let me keep my bags at the hotel after i checked out. this way i could see more of the city before heading to the train station.

my double room canal view had big, fabulous windows. i looked right out over the canal. the bed was comfy, and the bathroom looked great with marble. it was spacious too.

the hotel has a strange lift. you can see the floors through a tiny window. the lift doors open automatically on each floor, so there isn't a door inside the lift.

old furniture poor ventilation
the room was small. also, the furniture seemed very old and worn. there was no air conditioning, only a fan and it did little good. i also noticed the bathroom lacked proper ventilation.
